We have a 1970's detached home in a quiet, traffic free close in middle of large village 8 miles south of Bristol. Coast 5 miles, market towns close by as is beautiful countryside of Somerset. Easy access motorway to Nth/Sth/East/West. Wales is 30 mins away via Severn Bridge. London 120 miles with good road/train/coach transport. There is a mainline rail station in village. Stratford on Avon is approx one and half hours by car.
Good local shops, doctor, dentist etc.. restaurant, take aways and pubs. Many sporting opportunities in village/close by including cricket,several golf courses close by, tennis club, lawn bowls and bridge club in village, playhouse theatre. There are several churches nearby. South coast resorts within hour and half. Bath spa, Gloucester, Cheltenham easy access. Historic Bristol 15 mins by car/bus offering museums, theatres, shopping malls, floating harbour and famous landmarks (Isambard Kingdom Brunel country).
Excellent local bus transport. A car is recommended but not absolutely necessary depending on amount of sightseeing required.
