The Coast

We are interested in Australian exchanges and exchanges in the UK especially Norfolk, Cornwall and Scotland after the Covid situation is resolved. We would certainly consider other locations . Our Australian beachside holiday cottage adjoins a national park in a small village 200m to lagoon and good swimming beach with golden sand. Beach views from cottage. Abundant birds and kangaroos and bush walking.

Cottage furnished in casual relaxed style, air-conditioned with separate living and dining areas. Kitchen has dishwasher. Main living area on upper level with large front and rear decks (child safe) suitable for dining. Lower level comprises entry foyer, 3rd and 4th bedrooms and bathroom/laundry. We have deliberately not installed a phone or internet facilities.

The cottage and Berrara are great for entertaining your grandchildren when you are visiting family in Australia.

3 hr drive to Sydney, 2.45 hr drive to Canberra. Nearby is the village of Sussex Inlet (for shopping) which is the access to a large saltwater lake. Boat hire is available here. Closer still is Swan Lake which is used for sailing and waterskiing.

About the location

The general area consists of an unbroken chain of spectacular golden beaches backed by native bushland interspersed with small holiday villages. Kangaroos and birds are in abundance and fossils are to be found on the rocks. Great for a quiet getaway or if you wish to drive about half an hour to the south (to Milton)or an hour to the north(to Berry) you can explore trendy shops and restaurants.
