Lovely 2 Bed home in Vancouver, Canada

Ours is a sunny condominium apartment on the 8th floor of a 30 story luxury building, completed in 2007. The apartment is 1000 square feet. Large windows look out onto a small tiled terrace with views of the Pacific. The apartment is air-conditioned and quiet. There is a well-equipped gym in the building and residents are professional people from all over the world. There is a 24 hour concierge service in the building.

Our home has a well equipped open plan kitchen, granite counters and dark wood cabinetry. There are two bedrooms and bathrooms each with dark cabinets and limestone counters. The living/dining room is bright and spacious and there is a small office.

While Vancouver is well known for its outdoor attractions - skiing and sailing most obviously - it's also a city for indoor attractions also. The dining scene is outstanding - Vancouver is ranked as one of the top restaurant cities in North America. There is a good symphony orchestra, opera company and a great summer jazz festival. We're within driving distance of great wine producing areas and the cities of Seattle and Portland are respectively three and five hours drive away. San Francisco is a day's drive away. The mountain scenery around the city is superb and the ski resort of Whistler is an hour and a half drive.

The neighbourhood is urban and built up, though there are parks around our home and the ocean and numerous marinas are a few minutes walk away. We are within walking distance of many attractions.

In addition to our apartment in Vancouver, we also have a small one bedroom condo in Whistler, adjacent to one of the mail ski lifts which is also available for home swap.
