Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and renowned as 'The Athens of the North'. Its charm lies in the fact that it is a small capital whose centre lies between the imposing castle atop a volcanic crag and the splendid Arthur's Seat. It is the seat of the government of Scotland. It has a distinctive divide between the Old and New towns. The arts thrive here and the architecture of the Old town is distinctly continental whilst that of the New town is planned Regency.

Edinburgh can be used as a base for exploring the Borders, the Highlands or even the North of England though there is enough within the city to keep anybody fully occupied.

Our flat has been completely refurbished with a new kitchen, a new bathroom and redecorated throughout. It is a first floor flat in a two storey traditional tenement, built in about 1880, consisting of just 4 flats. It is situated on a quiet leafy street and is set back from the road to offer an even quieter Edinburgh experience.

It consists of two good sized bedrooms each containing a double bed with new mattresses.

Carpeted entrance hall. Bathroom with mounted power shower and bath. Kitchen with double under oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Pine table seating 6.

Stripped pine floors to lounge and bedrooms.

Sunny and bright lounge with bow window having alternate dining table/work desk overlooking leafy street.

Gas central heating, wifi broadband, TV, radio/CD player.

All linens and towels provided.

It is about a 15 minute walk to Princes St and about the same to the Castle. Edinburgh has an excellent bus service and fares are cheap especially for the daily unlimited travel tickets. There are bus stops about 3 minutes walk away.
Most places are within walking distance, if you like walking!
