Standing in glorious gardens set well back from the road, our house is a light and spacious large Victorian detached six double bedroomed house built in 1850. Accommodation is arranged over four floors; period features including original leaded light windows and open fires, located in a leafy and friendly suburb of Sheffield. There is a large breakfast kitchen with cooking range and french doors on to terrace, a utility room, two sitting rooms, 6 double bedrooms, three with en suite facilities, and two further bathrooms. The house is fully centrally heated, has wi-fi, cable tv and is comfortable without being fussy.

Our home is ideally located 10 minutes from the city centre, with cinemas, theatres, a thriving arts scene and restaurants close by. Even better, we are just 10 minutes drive from the stunning countryside of the Peak District National Park and places of interest such as Chatsworth House.

Sheffield is well placed for exploring England - the fast train into London takes just over two hours, Leeds is 40 minutes by train, Manchester and Birmingham just over an hour each. The wild and beautiful yorkshire moors are an hour's drive away.

There are local parks, shops, pubs and cafes nearby and a ten minute walk away from the house is London Road with a fantastic and eclectic range of restaurants.

About the location

The house is located in the Sheffield suburb of Nether Edge, a conservation area just seven minutes by car from the city centre and ten minutes from the Peak District National Park. Nether Edge borders onto Abbeydale Road and Sheffield's Antiques Quarter and is rich in quirky independent shops and cafes. There are additional local shops and cafes in Nether Edge itself, a local supermarket, bi monthly farmer's market and a summer festival. It is a very green suburb with parks and woods and generally regarded as the quirkiest area of the city.
