The Bell

The Bell is situated in historic centre of Kidwelly in West Wales. Well placed for Pembrokeshire and the Gower. However Carmarthenshire offers an off-the-beaten-track charm. The local beaches, Pembrey, (Cefn Sidan), Llanstephan and Ferryside are stunning and close. Pembrey Country Park is Carmarthenshire`s most popular tourist attraction and has a range of activities taking place there. There is a huge sandy beach suitable for kites, swimming, walking etc. There is a historic church and splendid castle in Kidwelly itself. The estuary is a Site of Special Scientific Interest with a rich variety of bird life. The millenium coastal path is all access, great for cycling, voted best Millennium Project. Y Polyn voted Best Restaurant in Wales several times is close and Wrights Food Emporium is a fantastic lunch and evening meal option, with a deli. One of the most stunning railway journeys in the U.K. is here, but it`s a secret and we can`t tell you!

About the location

Estuary coastal land/seascape. Close to Gower and Pembrokeshire, near Botanic Gardens of Wales. Swansea, Cardiff, Gower and Pembrokeshire are day trips. Good local food sand produce available. Carmarthen is 9 miles away, the county and market town has many independent shops, also good places to eat. Car not essential as public transport (bus and train) available.
