The area is leafy South Kensington which is where London's best & biggest museums are as well as a very buzzy cafe culture and night time bar scene.
The glorious Hyde Park is nearby where you can walk along the beautiful Serpentine and generally escape from the city.

The Kings Road close by is fantastic for shopping and the Fulham Road (right on the doorstep) has a fantastic array of local eateries and lovely brunch spots.
