Lovely Terraced Cottage

The house is a terraced cottage with lovely neighbours and a friendly community environment. Many of the neighbours are artists or musicians, and there is always someone to chat too. The area is very quiet and you never hear a sound once dark. The neighbours either side of my house are both quiet single ladies.

It’s quite an old house, about 130 years old. If the evenings are chilly there is central heating and and a log burner in the living room.

The garden is quiet and relaxing with a swing seat and a gazebo is always up in the summer months if you wish to eat outside.

There is parking at the front of the house for one car.

About the location

Shrewsbury is a beautiful medieval town on the border of Wales with its beautiful coastline and stunning beaches. The town nestles in the loop of the river Severn; only 12 miles from the historic town of Ironbridge and 35 miles to the city of Birmingham. Good rail links to Manchester and London and other major towns and cities.

The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside for walking and cycling.

Just ten minutes walk from my house is the Town centre, and the beautiful Quarry Park home to the famous flower show held each August around the 12th to 14th, and a large indoor pool. The town has winding cobble streets, and has lovely medieval buildings; independent shops; many bars and restaurants; an award winning market; the castle and railway station. There is also a large theatre with a constant programme of plays, musicals, comedy, ballet and much more.
At the bottom of my street is a row of independent shops, a great pub with a garden overlooking the river, they serve everything from bar snacks to a wide selection of tasty meals. There is also a busy cafe, and just a few yards from this a lovely shop that sells Artisan baked bread and cakes, vegetables and eco products for the home. A hairdressers, a beauty parlour, a florist and supermarket, all within a 5 minute walk from the house.
There is a multi plex cinema just 10 minutes walk from the house.
