About the location

We live in a suburb of Brighton called Saltdean -home of the famous Art Deco/ Modernist Saltdean Lido -just reopened June 2017. It is quiet, family friendly and a great place to relax and unwind after the hecticness of bustling central Brighton. All the basic amenities are here; post office, mini supermarket, greengrocer, butchers, fish & chips, Chinese and Indian take-aways. We live a five minute walk from an undercliff path that takes you along a quiet beach all the way to Brighton pier. At low tide, it is great for rockpooling. Just down the road is the pretty village of Rottingdean, once home of Rudyard Kipling, which has great pubs, coffee shops, a windmill and the beautiful Kipling Gardens. Our location is ideally situated for ramblers as we have the wonderful South Downs behind us and you can walk for hours (or days) admiring the views and wildlife.
