We are close to the big parks at One Tree Hill and Mount Eden - both old volcanic cones. And a short drive from Auckland city's waterfront, museum and Sky tower which you can jump off. Or take a spin in a former America's cup yacht. Or a ferry to the islands in the Hauraki Gulf. An hour plus drive away are the surf beaches on the east coast, and the winery trails up Matakana way.
