Low Swinside is a beautiful cottage set in extensive grounds with a south facing garden, with incredible views of the fells. It is half a mile from the small village of Lorton and 5 miles from Cockermouth.
The property is packed with character, including slate floors and oak beams. It has two lounges, beautiful farmhouse kitchen, 3 bedrooms (one en-suite), huge family bathroom, dining room and utility rooms. Fantastic base for a walking holiday, and is extremely quiet and peaceful.
It has good wi-fi and large televisions in the 2 lounges.
Outside there is a massive, secure back garden with a patio and lots of garden furniture.
Buttermere is 4 miles away and Keswick about 8 miles away.
About the location
Wonderful rural location, surrounded by fells.
There is a pubic footpath from the property which will take you onto the fells.
It is in a quieter part of the Lake District National Park, but still on the doorstep of Buttermere.
Crummock Water is the closest Lake and is ideal for wild water swimming.
The village of Lorton has a village shop and pub.
