Our holiday home is located on the Wild Atlantic Way and is a three bedroom bungalow with a large living / dining room opening onto a patio overlooking the famous Ballybunion Championship Golf Course and the beautiful Atlantic coastline. Our home is 5 minutes walk from the beach. The master bedroom is en suite with a double bed and built in wardrobes. The second bedroom also has a double bed and built in wardrobes. The third bedroom has two single beds and built in wardrobes. There are 2 single futon beds which can be moved into any of the bedrooms to provide a total sleeping capacity of 8. We have a fully fitted kitchen (with an electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer) adjoining the living / dining room. The en suite has a shower and the main bathroom has a bath with a shower unit.

About the location

Ballybunion is a traditional seaside holiday location situated on the Wild Atlantic Way. It is home to the world famous Ballybunion Championship Links Golf Courses (36 holes) and one of the best beaches in Ireland. There are many activities on our doorstep including golf, sea swimming, surfing, sea and river fishing, horse riding, beach walks, cliff walks and hill walks.
The Ballybunion beach walk is an easy 2 hour walk along both the stunning sandy north and south beaches of Ballybunion and along the beach side of the Ballybunion Links Golf Courses. The north and south beaches are both Blue Flag beaches and are surrounded by rocky headlands, high cliffs and caves you can explore at low tide. It is within a designated natural heritage area with an extensive dune system. During the summer you can also go for a wonderful seaweed bath in the famous Collins's Seaweed Baths on the north beach. There are many locations to visit within easy reach of Ballybunion including: the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, the Skellig Rocks (made famous by the Star Wars movie 'The Force Awakens', the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney and Tralee.
The heritage and market town of Listowel is only 14 Km from Ballybunion and is described as the Literary capital of Ireland being the home of many famous writers.
County Clare is easily accessed via a ferry across the Shannon estuary enabling visits to Loop Head lighthouse, Kilkee, Doonbeg, Lahinch, and the stunning Cliffs of Moher Irelands most visited natural tourist attraction. For those interested in Hill walking or climbing the McGillycuddy reeks are an hour away from our home where Carrauntoohill 1,038m (3,406ft) the highest mountain in Ireland is located. Mount Brandon 952m (3,123ft) the highest peak on the Dingle peninsula is also only an hour away. Ballybunion has a swimming pool and gym open to the public which is only 4 minutes walk from our home.
