Modern, bright 2 bedroom villa close to the beach - Sanur, Bali

Our villa is located in a quiet lane, surrounded by a colourful tropical garden. It`s a 5 minute walk to the beach. The style is contemporary with a simple interior, attractive furnishings, open kitchen, air conditioning and wide folding doors that look onto garden. The dining, living and kitchen areas are joined to provide a spacious feel. The two bedrooms have generous in-suite bathrooms. There is a powder room off the living area and a kitchen pantry for storage with a second fridge and washer / dryer. An office overlooks a small temple tended by a Balinese family. At the back of the house is small patio garden. We don`t have a swimming pool, this is by design to avoid drama with children, however pool and gym memberships for 2 are provided at a nearby 5 star hotel as part of the exchange.

About the location

Bali offers stunning beauty, a pleasant climate and an out-of-world cultural experience. Originally a fishing village, Sanur doubles as a popular tourist destination. It`s located on the East coast of Bali, 20 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Kuta the island`s tourist epicenter. Popular with expat residents, Sanur is ideal those who enjoy the outdoors, cycling, swimming, diving, surfing, boating, sailing, golf and tennis are all within easy reach. Our home is situated near the Western edge of the village on Jalan Tanjung a quiet lane that winds through a residential area connecting to a paved walkway that runs along the beach for 6 km past hotels, restaurants and recreation facilities to the northern end of the village. It`s wonderful beach side experience. Three of our favourite restaurants are here, great spots early in the day and for enjoying sunsets. A half km back from the beach is a thoroughfare with shops, hotels, restaurants and food stores. Other parts of the island within easy reach include the West coast for exciting surf beaches, the mountainous interior with semi-active volcanoes, Seminyak for trendy shopping, restaurants and nightlife, Ubud for artists and a literary scene and Nusa Dua for breathtaking scenery. Nearby islands, Lombok, the Gillies and Nusa Lembongan are great destinations for short holidays. Bali is also a jumping off spot for regional travel with sea and air links to Indonesia`s Eastern Islands as well as to other parts of South East Asia and Australia.
