Lovely farmhouse near Norwich and beautiful North Norfolk coast - Norfolk

Our house is a detached 18th century farmhouse set in a good-sized garden in a small hamlet of farms off the beaten track in lovely countryside but only a short drive to Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and the stunning North Norfolk coast. It is a beautifully peaceful location, with no traffic noise and views over fields and the constantly changing Norfolk skyscape.

The house has had extensions added to it over the years so is a blend of original features such as oak beams and inglenook fireplaces and more modern elements like velux windows which bring lots of light into the open-plan kitchen/living area. It is spacious and comfortable and ideal for a family or group of friends holidaying together. There is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove and flatscreen TV, a large eat-in kitchen with oil-fired Aga (multifunctional, great for cooking),dishwasher and open plan living room with large round table and views over the garden.

About the location

North Norfolk is an agricultural region and with lovely countryside and stunning coastline (most of which is preserved as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the U.K. People love the sense of space here, the clean air and the beautiful green countryside. Only a short drive from our house is the beautiful medieval city of Norwich which has a university, great cultural life and good shops.
