Beautiful Victorian family home with south-facing garden - London

A charming and deceptively large old terraced house, typical of Victorian London, which is full of period features.

The house comprises of a large through lounge with working fireplace and piano with a bay window onto the front garden. Wi-fi and Netflix are available. Stairs lead to the lower ground floor with a very large modern kitchen diner, with a table that comfortably seats six (a high chair is available if required). We have a dishwasher, coffee machine and washer-dryer. A playroom / additional sitting room leads off the kitchen, with a sofa bed (so this room doubles up as a third bedroom if required).

Upstairs there is a study, family bathroom and additional WC, and two bedrooms. The first master bedroom has a king size beautifully comfortable bed, with fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom has a single bed and a cot.
The house is on a very quiet pretty street with a little pub on the corner that is a short walk to the vibrant and busy Streatham High Rd, with numerous great restaurants and plenty of transport links to central London and beyond (trains to Victoria, London Bridge and St Pancras take 20-30 minutes; a direct train also goes to Gatwick or Luton airport).

The south-facing garden is a real sun trap and has a garden table and chairs.

About the location

Streatham used to be known as the ‘west end of the south’ and has once again become a desirable place to live because of the wealth of stunning period properties and friendly community. Travel into central London is very easy, with three different train stations within walking distance or a very short bus ride with direct links to Victoria, St Pancras or London Bridge. Buses are frequent, and Brixton, Balham and Tooting tube stations a short bus ride away.

The vibrant High Road is full of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and bars and several supermarkets, including two M&S Food halls, are within easy walking distance.

Two wonderful and huge commons (Streatham Common and Tooting Common with its famous lido, playgrounds and running routes) are a 10 -15 minute walk away.
