Casita Del Sol is on ten acres with our home; the homes garages face each other and are a far distance apart, for complete privacy. You enter and leave through a gate that is only available to our property. We have a private tennis court. We are located in the high Sonora Desert surrounded by high mountains, gorgeous flowering cacti and our Saguaro cacti, the giants of the high desert. Our sunsets and reverse sunsets are famous and when our Catalina mountains are glowing with the reverse sunset the pink colors will take your breath away. Depending on what time of year you come, we have a spool... combination swimming pool/hot tub...10 x 13`... great for cooling off. We have a rooftop deck at our home, next door to the casita where you can come and bring your beer, or glass of wine and have a 360 degree view. Southern Arizona can`t be beat....take a side trip to the Grand Canyon, a wonder of the world, or to Sedona with its` red rock cliffs. About the location

We are located on the far northwest side of Tucson at the base of the Tortolita mountains. You can hike directly from your doorstep; there`s a lovely, flat, 2 mile hike through the quiet desert with all it`s beauty. Catalina State Park is only 12 minutes away and has lots of trails if you like to hike. A large supermarket can be walked to or drive there in 5 mins, plus restaurants and everything you need. Although we are originally from Illiois, Tucson has been our home for the past 40 years and we wouldn`t settle anywhere else. We have done more than 30 exchanges in the past 22 years and love it.
