Pedley Fold Farm - Peak District National Park

16th Century grade II listed farmhouse set in 12 acres on the edge of the Peak District National Park. There are picturesque rural views from different parts of the farm, which includes pastures and a small woodland with river. The fields are being grown as meadow this year. We have 4 free range chickens in the fields and 4 ducks. Walks into the Peak District can be accessed on foot from the property. Rainow village is small and has one pub, it is 3 miles out of the town of Macclesfield. From Macclesfield many places can be accessed by train including Manchester (20 min) and London 1h 45 min.

Property accessed through farmyard with outbuildings. There is parking available in farmyard. Entry is into large country kitchen with Aga, which leads into a dining area with large arch window (believed to be an old coach house). Downstairs is also a large lounge with open fire and bathroom. There is also a laundry room. Upstairs is a room with King sized bed and three rooms with single beds. There is also a Fold-down single bed that can be used in one of the single rooms. There is a sofabed in the lounge, which is a small double. Accessed through a single door at the back of the kitchen there is a partially converted barn, with master bedroom, luxury bathroom and snug.

About the location

Picturesque area that is part of the Peak District National Park - rolling green hills with interesting villages and some tourist attractions, such as caves, castles, historic houses etc.

Also easy access to flat area of land called ‘Cheshire plains’ which again has attractive villages and pubs, and is great for easier cycling!

Macclesfield is 3 miles away, accessible by local bus, and has shops, bars, cinema etc, as well as a train station.
