Family base near York centre

Our home is a large Semi-detached property about a mile from the city. We have ample space for up to seven people (two kings, one double, one single) We have two dining tables - one inside and one outside that sits everyone comfortably. There is a lounge for sociable gatherings and a snug off the dining room.

There is perfectly formed kitchen with Neff appliances. Our garden is large with seating deck, fire pit and BBQ.

We have a cat who loves to stay at home so if she can be fed by you that would be great. She can go to kennels if necessary.

Off street parking (easy to get two cars on the drive) at the house in this quiet leafy suburb. Regular busses into the city take 15 minutes and a taxi will cost you about £8.

About the location

York is a medieval walled city in the North of England. It is famous for Vikings (Jorvik Viking Centre) and home to the famous York Minster. There are many attractions to see - amongst which are three world class museums (The Yorkshire Museum, The Railway Museum and the Castle Museum). There are dozens if not hundreds or places to eat and drink - there’s everything from pub grub to Michelin stars. This really is a great city.

The coast is approximately an hour away and the Yorkshire Dales about the same in the opposite direction.
