Our home is our sanctuary which forms part of a granary conversion dating back to 1820. It was converted into a home 25 years ago and is positioned in a quiet part of town with all amenities within 5 minutes walking.

About the location

Saffron Walden is a delightful and vibrant medieval market town located 15 miles south of Cambridge and 48 miles north east of London. It has a rich heritage of old Tudor buildings, including St Mary`s Church, the largest and one of the most beautiful parish churches in the region.
The market has been held here since 1141 and has been voted as one of the prettiest market towns in England. Beyond the market place, there are many independent shops, art galleries and eating places to choose from. Our home is a 5 minute walk to the market square with Audley End House and gardens, (a decadent Jacobean mansion house) is only a 15 minute walk from our home. We are surrounded by many country walks and quaint villages.

Waitrose is a 5 minute walk from the house as is the Market square.
