A spacious family home in a superb location on the doorstep of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales

Our house is a welcoming and spacious family home. We have a lovely bay window fronted lounge with views of the Green, a dining room with seating for six people, a modern kitchen and a bright and sunny day room facing the back garden.

We have four bedrooms, two with double beds, and spacious single bedrooms, one with a sofa bed. There is a bathroom with a bath and shower and en-suite with shower. There is also a downstairs WC. In the cellar, we have a 7 foot slate bed snooker table.

Outside we have a garden with patio, pergola, lawn and flower beds. A table and chairs and bench seat provide space to relax and enjoy the sunny west facing aspect.

A tastefully modernised Victorian townhouse in a sought after location in the beautiful historic town of Kendal. On the north side of town it gives easy access to the Lake District, now a World Heritage Site, with the National Park boundary just a mile away. Ten miles to the east are the glorious Yorkshire Dales.

Kendal Green is a stunning expansive tree lined public green space which our house fronts. To the rear is the backdrop of Kendal Fell which provides walks into the National Park directly from the house. Scout Scar and Cunswick Scar can easily be reached and provide stunning views of the Lake District Fells.

Kendal is a hidden gem, a lovely historic town in a beautiful location with the River Kent providing scenic riverside walks and with fine Georgian and Victorian buildings climbing the fellside. There are some great pubs and restaurants in the town and local area and an M&S, Booths and other town centre shops are just a short walk away. We also have a lively arts scene at the Brewery Arts Centre, with cinema and theatre, bars and restaurants.

Buses to the Lakes stop nearby and there are trains to the Lakes and along the West Coast mainline with easy day trips to Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The sublime Lake District provides a wealth of walks, boat-trips and visitor attractions. The beautiful Levens Hall with its topiary historic gardens and the stunning Art and Crafts house Blackwell are just a few miles away. Visits to lovely historic towns and villages, such as Kirkby Lonsdale and Cartmel, provide further local interest. The nearby Yorkshire Dales also provide a many attractions and awesome landscapes.
