Hampton Court Palace (approx 1km), train station walking distance, London Waterloo (37mins). Wimbledon (20mins). Famous deer park, Bushy Park 20 mins walk away. Beautiful walks or kayak trips along River Thames. Lots of great cycle routes. Many cycle paths and tow path along river. Boat hire nearby. The historic Roman town of Kingston upon Thames a short cycle away. Heathrow/Gatwick close by. Thorpe park, Legoland and Chessington amusement parks also near by. Lots of restaurants, shops and pubs walking distance. Sandown racecourse, 10mins drive, also offers; dry ski slope and Skywalk. Kempton Park Racecourse, 15/20 mins drive away.

Kayaking has become very popular in the area over the last few years. Having river access is wonderful and there are some truly beautiful routes. Go to the right and you come out on the Thames right in front of Hampton Court Palace gardens, continue to Kingston Upon Thames or for an easier ride stop at the Albany for a drink or lunch. Turn left and you can go all the way to the Surrey Downs (depending on your fitness level). Miles of unspoilst, uninhabited country side, you can hardly believe you`re so close to London or any city or town for that matter.
