San Pedro House Close to the Sea

This San Pedro house has charm on the outside and comfort on the inside. From the front yard you can see the Pacific Ocean and - depending on the weather - a view of Catalina island. From the front door you enter a dining room, which is open to the kitchen. The largest bedroom has two twin beds that can be combined into a king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed. One bathroom includes a tub and shower combination. The other bathroom is small and includes a shower. There`s a cozy, wood- burning fireplace in the living room. Next to the living room, two steps lower, is a bright and cheery sunroom that looks out onto the backyard garden and patio where there`s a portable outdoor grill.

About the location

San Pedro is a charming, community-oriented town that is home to the Port of Los Angeles. This neighborhood is called "The Palisades" and is one of the most desirable locations in town. The house is 2.5 blocks from the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. (It`s a big hill to get there if you are walking, just a minute by car.) From the little park overlooking the ocean you can walk one way to Point Fermin Park and it`s beautiful lighthouse, the other way to White Point Park and an interpretive nature trail. The famous Korean Bell is nearby, as is Royal Palms State Beach (good for tidepools) and Cabrillo Beach (better for swimming and kayaking). The downtown area is minutes away and full of independently owned places to dine and shop. There are lots of events in town. Downtown Long Beach is about 15 minutes away, it`s 26 miles to historic Olvera St. in downtown Los Angeles, 29 miles to Knott`s Berry Farm, 34 miles to either Disneyland or Universal Studios, and 25 miles by boat to Catalina Island.
