Apartment in Central Edinburgh

A traditional, Victorian ground floor flat in a tenement building, built around 1880. The flat is 10 minutes walk from the centre of the city and a 20 minute bus ride from the beach.

The flat is comfortable and well furnished. There is a master bedroom with a comfy double bed looking out onto the garden and a second bedroom with a sky bed that can sleep two.

The sitting room is spacious and has a sofa bed should you need more sleeping space.

There is a small kitchen which is well equipped and will be all you need as there are many cafe and restaurants within a few minutes walk. This is my home and I will be leaving it as it is when I am here. I would expect guests to respect this.

About the location

The area is a vibrant and friendly part of the city. The neighbours in the building are all friends and will welcome guests to the apartment. Despite being a central location the street itself is fairly quiet and peaceful. Close by there is the famous Leith Walk which leads to the port of Leith. It is full of coffee shops and restaurants and the new extension of the tram means it is easy to get to the airport, Leith itself or just a few stops to Prince’s St.

The new luxury shopping centre, St James Quarter is 2 minutes walk away. It has shops, restaurants and a cinema. Calton Hill, on of the 7 hills of Edinburgh is across the road and provides a lovely morning or evening walk, The Fife coast is visible from the top. Holyrood Park and the Queen’s palace are 20 minutes away by foot and offer a lovely space to walk and fabulous views of the city.

Everything you need is on your doorstep here and you will be staying in a building steeped in history with all the modern conveniences, close to all the wonderful cultural pursuits the city has to offer.
