Comfortable house in beautiful country setting

The house is situated in an area of outstanding beauty in West Yorkshire directly overlooking the Yorkshire Moors. It is tastefully decorated with all mod cons, beautiful artwork from local artists and lots of great books if you want to curl up and read beside the wood burner in the sitting room.

It has two good sized bedrooms (one with ensuite) and an office/third single bedroom. Good wifi connections if you do need to work from here.

There are amazing views of the Yorkshire Moors with lots of footpaths almost outside the back door! It is a walkers' paradise!

We have an enclosed garden so if you have a dog, it can play safely - it is a lovely place to sit and drink in the views and there is also a conservatory with a well insulated roof and a electric fire which we can now use in all seasons.There is plenty of space to park on the drive but you don't really need a car as transport links are excellent (see below).

About the location

We are around a mile out of Hebden Bridge which is a quirky town with lots of independent shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, a cinema, theatre and a live music venue. We live up on a hillside in a village with a post office, fabulous cafe and a community centre that holds live music gigs! There are two pubs within easy walking distance and both serve food. They also have great views!

There is easy access to Haworth (home of the Bronte sisters), the UNESCO world heritage village of Saltaire and the amazing Piece Hall in Halifax.

There are arts, music and literature festivals throughout the summer in the area
and it is an ideal place for people who like walking, cycling and the countryside. Excellent rail links - the local station is a busy place offering lots of possibilities for travel to cities such as Leeds, Manchester, York and Braford.

The bus services are good - half hourly bus into Hebden Bridge and then beyond to Haworth and Heptonstall (where Sylvia Path is buried).
