Cosy cottage on beautiful coastal estate with loch views

Our cottage sits within its own extensive private garden on the scenic Ardpatrick Estate, ten miles from Tarbert, Loch Fyne.

There are fantastic views of the surrounding hills and West Loch Tarbert from the kitchen extension and wraparound deck. Watch the Islay ferry go by from the second, raised, deck dining area with OFYR outdoor cooker and fire pit.

The cottage has two bedrooms-one with a king sized bed,one with two single beds. The bathroom has a roll top bath, separate shower enclosure and underfloor heating.

Wood burning stoves in the sitting room and the large kitchen diner make this a cosy place to relax after a days sightseeing.

The well equipped kitchen is newly renovated and has ample storage space, a dishwasher and SAGE coffee maker.

About the location

There are lovely lochside walks straight from the front door to secluded sandy bays. Wildlife is all around with good birdwatching.

Walkers can explore the beaches, forests and castles along the Kintyre Way.

You can take the ferries for day trips to the aisles of Gigha and Arran, or to enjoy the restaurants and spa at Portavadie Marina. Explore the rich history of the area with a visit to the outstanding Neolithic and Iron Age sites at Kilmartin Glen. Combine a visit to Skipness Castle with lunch at the seafood cabin.

For those who enjoy a game of golf there is a nine hole course at Tarbert. Venture further afield and visitors can try their hand at the famous Machrahanish links course.

For whisky fans the distilleries at Campbeltown offer guided tours .

Closer to home the harbour town of Tarbert itself has a wide range of restaurants and cafes.

We are in a secluded very peaceful spot. The property is reached from a single track road with passing places (as is very usual in rural Scotland).
