Looking for someone who is happy to cat sit. Two 10 year olds, Gretel and Simon. We have acquired Simon recently as his previous owner sadly passed away suddenly. They are free to come and go through cat flap. Simon is still using litter tray but hope to wean him off that soon. No need to stay around during day as long as they are fed morning and evening and have a bit of company at night.
Three bedroom house with self-contained ensuite in loft. Family shower room recently installed on 1st floor and downstairs toilet/utility. Log burning stove in living room. Storage for bikes or local hire of electric bikes. Garden with lovely views. Parking on drive big enough for 6m van. 10 mins from bus and train. We are a "bit fussy" in terms of cleanliness so would like someone equally so. Possible use of our small car by negotiation.
About the location
5 mins drive from hadrians wall world heritage site. Great walking (and river swimming) on the doorstep in North pennines. The South Tyne is a great salmon fishing river, local day permits available. 10 mins from bus and train to Newcastle and Carlisle. One hours drive to North lakes, southern Scotland or East and western coasts.
Haltwhistle has a high street with butchers, grocers, chemist, two small supermarkets, a leisure centre with outdoor pool in summer, pubs within walking distance and restaurants nearby.
