Detached home close to historic Oxford and the gateway to the Cotswolds.

We live in a spacious and attractive 4-bed detached home, with three cats, a large rear garden and parking for several vehicles at the front of the property.

We renovated the rear of the house 3 years ago, creating a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the garden.

The garden has a large veggie patch and fruit trees that you are welcome to harvest. There is a trampoline, swing set and climbing frame, hammock and play house - with lots of space to play. We have toy trikes and go-carts. There is a separate patio lounge abs dining area with fire pit and bbq.

On the ground floor at the front of the house, there is a comfortable lounge with a smart TV, and seating for at least 6 people, and there is wifi throughout the house.
Down the hall to the back of the house is the kitchen/diner and seating area, with sliding doors to the spacious patio area and garden beyond. There is also a small utility area with a washing machine, and a cloakroom with small bathroom attached.

On the upper floor are 4 bedrooms and a family bathroom. At the rear is the master with en-suite bathroom and a south facing aspect looking over the garden, a walk-in wardrobe and a super-king bed. The second bedroom with a king-size bed is to the front of the property, and there are two smaller bedrooms with single beds and a wardrobe in each. These are kids rooms and there are lots of toys available if you are doing a swap with your children.

We will retain a locked room downstairs, to store our personal items out of your way, and give you plenty of room to unpack!

About the location

The home is located only 1.7 miles from the train station, with regular trains into London, and a short bus ride or cycle to the center of Oxford.

Oxford is a vibrant city with hundreds of years of history, including the famous University of Oxford, with its mixture of ancient and modern architecture, museums and galleries, bars and restaurants, not forgetting the parks and punting on the River Isis and, of course, the location of many TV shows and movies.

We have local play parks 2 minutes from the house and there are countryside walks from the front door to nice local pubs.

It is at the gateway to the Cotswolds, with a short drive to many Cotswold locations and only a 15 minute drive from Bicester Village, for discount designer shopping! Cycling is a popular method of transport, with cycle routes into the city, and there are many places to walk in the surrounding countryside. We are happy to swap/lend bikes and have a child seat we can lend you.
