Victorian upper villa in stunning location

A large Victorian upper villa on the edge of Peebles, served by a private drive with amazing views and mountain scenes, yet close to town and only 25 miles from Edinburgh. Our recently fully-refurbished house is the top two floors of this majestic house, a modern and stunningly decorated interior yet with the character and style reflecting its grand past, with four large bedrooms, three bathrooms and masses of spaces throughout. Walking access to the mountains and town, with the cycling centre of Glentress, golf courses, fishing and hiking all within a few minutes drive.

Please note that the house is accessed via a staircase and is not suitable for those with impaired mobility.

We have a huge kitchen/lounge, well equipped with everything you need for cooking and relaxing, with four oven Aga and a sofa area with tv. Downstairs too is a large sitting room with the most incredible views down the mountain valley, a study, bedroom, formal dining room and bathroom. Upstairs is a massive master bedroom with bathroom and two further bedrooms enjoying the use of a huge family bathroom. Plentiful parking and a garage lie outside.

About the location

The countryside outside the gate! Woodlands, mountain walks and fantastic wildlife are literally metres away, whilst a downhill walk takes you to the river Tweed and the town in about 15 minutes. Peebles offers good food shopping, town centre shops and restaurants and many local facilities, including a theatre. A bus every half an hour until late in the day links you to Edinburgh in just over an hour, and other destinations can also be reached. To enjoy everything the area has to offer a car is essential though. The world renowned mountain biking centre at Glentress is a mile outside town, and there are country houses and hotels, incredible countryside and walks almost everywhere.
