A spacious, single storey, 2 bedroom cottage built on land formerly part of an old Manor House. Set in a peaceful location just one mile from Swanage town centre and its long sandy bay. There is a double bedroom with a king size bed, a single bedroom with a single bed & trundle bed under; a lounge/dining room with 2 comfortable sofas & rocking chair, TV & DVD player; a well equipped kitchen with double gas oven & hob, microwave, fridge freezer & dishwasher; and a fully tiled shower room. A south facing, walled garden with timber gazebo & gas barbecue provides a private, peaceful place to cook, dine and sunbathe. The cottage also has a small front garden and is set back from a private driveway, where there is secure off-road parking.

About the location

At any time of the year it is a superb location for enjoying coastal and country walks as well as water based activities, and is set at the eastern end of Dorset's Jurassic Coast (designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Swanage bay has a gently shelving beach, perfect for swimming, kayaking, SUP, windsurfing & sailing; fishing boat trips, scuba diving & kayak safaris are available from the pier. There are tennis courts, an 18 hole putting green and basket ball court at the Beach Gardens; and horse riding is available at the nearby Studland Trekking Centre. The Isle of Purbeck Golf Club is just 4 miles away and has spectacular views to Brownsea Island. There are several nearby locations from which to hire electric bicycles.
A heritage steam railway links the town with Corfe Castle and Wareham; there is a good bus service which includes the open-top Purbeck Breezer service. A chain-ferry for vehicles & pedestrians provides a quick and direct link to Sandbanks & Bournemouth.
The nearby South West Coast Path can be explored, starting from the glorious expanse of' Poole Harbour and Studland Bay, along past Old Harry Rocks, Dancing Ledge, Kimmeridge Bay, the ghost village of Tyneham, the world famous Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove, and all the way to Weymouth, Chesil Beach & Lyme Regis. Away from the coast there are plenty of historic towns & villages to explore such as Corfe Castle and the Saxon walled town of Wareham, as well as Dorchester, Shaftesbury & Blandford Forum, all set within beautiful Dorset countryside.
The town centre of Swanage is just a short walk away and boasts a wonderful eclectic mix of independent shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, as well as a traditional seaside pier and a folly castle set in a beautiful cliff-top Country Park. Swanage hosts many festivals and special events throughout the year; there is plenty on offer to suit all tastes and ages.
