Dartmoor view, period ground floor flat in Buckfastleigh

A warm welcome to my bright, peaceful and colourful home. Large bay windows overlook trees and Dartmoor National Park views in the distance. Double height ceilings add to spaciousness and tasteful original Georgian period features, including stained glass windows and tiled hallway floor. I have many more photos of the property that I`m happy to share but struggling with the max upload limit on here!!

The apartment is ground floor (4 shallow steps from front door then all level once inside) with two double bedrooms, dining area and living room, kitchen and bathroom with all amenities. There is an outdoor patio and garden area. One free car parking space on driveway, and additional ample free parking on street outside.
I have a sweet and friendly Russian Blue cat called Zen who I would like to stay if possible (but this is open for discussion as she can also go elsewhere if needed!) She has an automatic feeder and spends most days outside roaming the fields, so needs very little at all in terms of responsibility, but can provide gentle company to anyone who enjoys that.
I have a large library of books you are most welcome to borrow... on philosophy, meditation, cultural anthropology, neuroscience, cookbooks etc in addition to fiction. I also have an annual weekly veg box with a local organic supplier which I am happy to gift to you for the duration of your stay. Loan of an electric bike, and also a petrol car is also possible (if I'm exchanging to the city then I won't be needing my car so happy to provide it).

About the location

Perfect for wild swimmers, River Dart is a 2min walk and country lanes are close by to walk locally, or a 5 minute drive will take you up onto Dartmoor, including Hembury Woods, many different Tor`s, villages and many beautiful hikes.

Conveniently located a 5min walk to Buckfastleigh for all conveniences (organic food shops, co-op, pharmacy, pubs etc) yet close by the A38 connecting you easily to Plymouth & Exeter (despite proximity of the road the house is very quiet, double & secondary glazing and the road itself is obscured by the trees -- see photos).

Totnes, Dartington Trust, and Ashburton Arts Centre are also within 10 minutes drive, offering many local cafe`s, bookshops, cultural events and activities. Totnes has two weekly farmers markets. Further afield Bristol, Cornwall, Glastonbury and Stonehenge are all easily reachable for a day trip.
