New build, single story

Hello folks, Our home is a very new build, 15 months old and offers a relaxed feeling. The main living room is spacious and has large glass doors leading to the outdoor areas. The interior of the house is predominately white which makes a great background to display our travel photos.

Leading from the clean, white kitchen there’s a delightful, tiled undercover alfresco area, where you can enjoy sipping the local McLaren Vale wines. Or use the barbecue and eat outdoors amongst the pot plants.

We have air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout the home. In the winter we use the reverse-cycle air conditioning to provide a cosy environment. There are two large-screen televisions, one in the front sitting room and the other in the main living area, both connected to the internet. Unlimited wi- fi is included.

The butler’s pantry is where all the cleanup happens, sink, dishwasher and food storage, all out of sight. A gas, four burner cooktop, electric oven, microwave, a food preparation sink and a huge refrigerator complete the cooking area.

Opposite our home is a spacious green, where families meet on the weekends.
Our home is open plan with hybrid, non-slip hardwood flooring and with two large sliding doors to the outdoors, both with fly screens. The home is bright, light and airy and very functional, with a walk in shower, a bath and separate toilet. There is a large, equipped laundry.

There are no steps and the path leading to the front door is a gentle slope.
The bedroom available has a queen size bed and room for a person who may have walking aids. There is wardrobe space and drawers available for your use. The home has been built for our future old age with strategically placed aids in the bathroom/shower and separate toilet.

About the location

We are on the southern end of metropolitan Adelaide, very close to superb beaches and by car about 5 minutes from the fabulous vineyards and restaurants.

Our house is within walking distance to a group of handy shops: bakery, chemist, food supermarket, pizza, coffee and wine shop.

The beach is a short distance away and has coffee shops and local amenities. We generally use our car to access the large shopping center about a mile away.

Our home overlooks the Green and at the end of the road is the ocean, which, facing West, often has vibrant sunsets. We have many walking paths and fabulous, white sandy beaches to explore.
There is a good bus and train service, both local and to the city of Adelaide (about an hour). An eight minute walk gets you to the bus for a short ride to the station.

We have a reliable, automatic, saloon car and are open to car exchange.

In Adelaide, there are museums, the art gallery, many churches and the botanical gardens. You could also explore the central international food markets, there is always plenty to do.

Our immediate area (known as the Fleurieu Peninsular) is world renowned for its numerous vineyards and olive groves. Should you wish to travel further, the delightful seaside town of Victor Harbor is less than an hour away (by car) as is the hills area and the traditional German settlement of Hahndorf.
