Mid terraced, Victorian exterior/modern interior in quiet rural location with a wood burning sauna

Our 3 storey, 2 bedroom terraced “cottage” is found in a rural part of Faversham - a vibrant, independent shopping area not far from Canterbury.

The short Victorian terrace has matching sash windows and colourful front doors, but inside is a modern open plan living space. A short path leads to steps up to the front door, which opens onto the living/dining area. Comfortable three seater and two seater sofa’s are arranged round the wood burner and smart tv (fire stick). We have overhead fibre to the house so streaming services are available.

Being a home cook, you should find everything you need in the side return kitchen, if you want to cater for yourselves, alternatively we have a multitude of cafes and restaurants a short car drive away.

On the first floor - accessed by narrow steps (WHICH MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN) you’ll find a light and airy bedroom with a King size bed (150cmx200cm) and bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The second, larger, bedroom is found up a further flight of steps and has a super king sized bed.

Outside we have extended the outhouse/utility room making an office/sunroom. The bi-fold doors lead out onto a small sun lit patio. The garden is very, very steep and might not suit anyone who is not steady on their feet. However, if you take the challenge, you’ll find at the top of the garden a sun deck with views over the house to The Cave golf resort and a log cabin housing a wood burning sauna and cold plunge bath.

We do have 2 miniature dachshunds, but we won’t leave them for you! Plenty of dog blankets will be available to cover furniture if you have pets… but the garden isn’t particularly dog friendly given its steepness and lack of grass. There is, however, a footpath right behind the house for easily accessible dog walking.

About the location

Although not on a bus route, the nearest station, Selling, is about a 20-25 min cross country walk away, giving you access to Canterbury city and the smaller independent town of Faversham.

We are a 10min drive away from the award winning The Sportsman restaurant at Seasalter, and near to the beaches of Whitstable, Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and up and coming Deal. Circular walks abound if you want a car free break, with longer walks being found in the varied landscape of the Kent countryside.

London can be accessed via local stations or via the high speed link at Ashfor, some 40min away via car. And of course, France and the Eurotunnel is just a short hop away.
