Lovely apartment in the heart of Bordeaux

We live in a cozy two-storey flat a few minutes walk from the city center, yet in a very quiet neighbourhood. The flat is on the first and second floors of an attached town house. It`s full of charm and character, it may not be the freshiest but it has all the necessary equipment and loads of plants.

It is about 50m2 on the first floor, with a double living room, a kitchen and a large bathroom. The two (tiny but confortable) bedrooms are upstairs. Rita, our lovely cat, keeps the couch warm for our guests.

Our house is bright and quite spacious for a couple and is sheltered fro the noise of the city.

It is worth noting however that the bedrooms are under the roof and do not have air conditioning. Summers can be very hot in Bordeaux and even with our heavy-duty fan, some may find it difficult to sleep upstairs. The sofa bed on the first floor can come in handy during heatwaves.

Another "special" feature is that access to the second floor is via the communal staircase, but we`re lucky enough to have only a neighbour on the ground floor, so the flat retains all its privacy.

About the location

Located in "Saint-Genès", a quiet and friendly residential neighbourhood, at the doorstep of the city center. Everything landmarks in Bordeaux are walking or biking distance from our place, though if needed there are many spots to park a car outside.

A lot of pubs and restaurants are worth a try in this area.

The train station is a 15 minutes walk and the airport can be reached in 40 minutes by tram. The beautiful beaches of Arcachon and Cap-Ferret are an hour away.
