Cocoon of calm in South Tottenahm

Our art filled home is an open plan oasis of calm, the perfect point to explore the beauty of London and to retreat to after a long day of shopping and museum hopping. Designed by us (an artist and a yoga teacher) we modelled the renovation of our home on the mid century modernist houses of LA to allow the light to stream in from our South facing kitchen and dining.

Outside the garden gives you perfect spot to enjoy any sunny days with a hammock to relax in. There is also 'The Frankenshed', winner of the 2023 Shed of The Year competition, a magical space that you can use to relax in with a cup of tea or even as a writers retreat. We are in a Low Traffic Neighbourhood, which means that for London you will hear remarkably few cars driving past while you're outside.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. One with a king size double and two other rooms with single beds ideal for children.

Out front there are two bikes you can use to explore London. One is a powered e-bike that's very easy to use with the option of a child seat on the back and the other is a classic Condor road bike. We are also in the Uber Lime bike scheme area.

About the location

We are located in the South Tottenham, a wonderful quiet neighbourhood with great transport links and lots of local green spaces.

We are just a ten minute walk from Seven Sisters station. From there you have access to Victoria Line (London's best tube line) which will zip you along to major transport hubs like Kings Cross and Victoria as well as in central London's main attractions and shopping at Oxford Circus. You an also get an overground train from Seven Sisters into the trendy borough of Hackney to explore areas like Stoke Newington, London Fields and Broadway Market.

Closer to home we are a short walk from Green Lanes, a world famous strip of incredible Turkish restaurants, as well as bars and pubs. There are also deli's and restaurants nearby on West Green Road our closest high street. And we can give you plenty more recommendations based on your tastes, there is a huge variety of cuisines on offer!

We are lucky enough to be near to lots of large parks, the closest being a two minute walk away. And for a bigger dose of nature you can go to the Wetlands for a long walk and even enjoy some open water swimming at the West Reservoir.
