Our home sits in a friendly, cosy village in Dartmoor National Park. Full of light and warmth with open fires and space to relax. A large, private garden with apple orchard, full of plants and wildlife. Enjoy barbecues outside around the fire pit in summer or snuggle in with open fires and hot chocolate. Within walking distance is a local shop and 2 excellent pubs for food and drinks.

Walk out the door straight onto the ‘two moors way’ connecting Dartmoor to Exmoor or meander down lanes and winding paths to ancient oak temperate rainforest and swim in the River Dart. Easy access to the rest of the National Park and endless places to explore. Ancient stone circles, local pubs and the many Tors to ascend for breathtaking Dartmoor scenery.

A short drive down to local towns Ashburton, Buckfastleigh or slightly further to the bright, colourful and interesting town of Totnes for artisan bakeries, local crafts, historical castles and a variety of excellent restaurants. With gorgeous beaches easily accessible too you can climb a tor or find a secret cove all in the same day. A car is essential for exploring Dartmoor and beyond.

About the location

Scorriton is a small village in Dartmoor National Park with a working dairy farm producing milk, cream and ice cream to the front door. A local pub with a garden for sunset drinks and a whole array of walking opportunities for short strolls or day long hikes.

A car is essential as public transport is limited.
