About the location
Upper Farringdon is a lovely small rural village (500 residents) set in the Meon valley of Hampshire. The adjacent village of Chawton (walking distance) was the home of the famous author Jane Austen. Our village has a church, two great pubs. A number of established rural walks link with other villages.
The nearest town, Alton, is just 3 miles away with a rail service that can whisk you into central London in just 1 hour. The famous City of Winchester is 20 miles away and the coastal Cities of Portsmouth and Southampton are both about 30 miles away. The beautiful New Forest area is also easily accessible.
