There is a lot to explore in the local area.

Ramsgate has the only Royal harbour in the U.K. and is famous as the departure and return point for the Dunkirk little ships.

Broadstairs with all of its associations with Dickens is a walk or bus ride away (Loop bus).

Margate with the Turner gallery is also a bus ride away (Loop bus).

Canterbury with Canterbury cathedral is a 20 minute train ride away.

The mediaeval town of Sandwich is a short bus or train ride away.

Dover with Dover Castle is a 35-40 min train ride away.
