Family flat in Majorna

We are a couple in our early thirties who live here with our five year old daughter. The flat has a small balcony overlooking Chapmans torg where you can have morning coffee and get a feel of the buzzing Majorna area. The living room is huge with walls covered in art and bookcases - and lots of the literature is in English, German or Serbo-Croatian so there's probably something for you to read if you want to borrow a book : ). Otherwise, we of course have a smart TV which also shows the Swedish networks via cable. There's one kids room with a lot of toys, stuffed animals and other fun stuff, and a small sleeping room with a queen size bed for the adults next to the kitchen.

The kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee machine etc, and the bathroom has a bathtub - and if you need to do your washing we'll leave an explanation of how to use the launderette in the cellar. The nearest tram stop, Chapmans torg, is just a minute away - you can even spot the trams passing from the balcony.

About the location

Majorna is one of Gothenburg's historical areas with lots of old architecture. At Stigbergstorget, Chapmans torg and Mariaplan there are plenty of bars and restaurants, and between the apartment buildings you'll find many playgrounds and small parks if you travel with kids. Close to us is Gothenburg's ocean front museum and aquarium and lots of small and big art galleries.

Just ten minutes walk from our home is Röda Sten, where you can eat lunch or drink wine and watch the ocean spreading out where the ships to America used to sail. Twenty minutes walk away is Slottsskogen, Gothenburg's biggest park which features a pet zoo, playgrounds, cafés, a huge museum and also connects Majorna to next door neighbor Linnéstaden. There you'll find the famous Andra Långgatan bar street and the old town streets in Haga.

Parking on the street outside almost always available, Gothenburg standard fee. Everything else (wifi, use of our bikes, electricity, coffee, dishwasher tablets, access to launderette, you name it) included! We'll leave a local guide for you so you find your way to the best places for arts, food, sports and drinks - we've lived here for decades so we know Gothenburg really well!
