Charming 300-Year-Old Cottage in Ashburton, Devon – Rustic, Cosy & Full of Character

Welcome to Swallows Nest our much-loved, 300-year-old cottage nestled in the historic stannary town of Ashburton, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and within easy reach of some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK.

Our home has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open-plan living space that’s perfect for relaxed family life. You`ll find a washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher for convenience, plus a large wood burner to keep you toasty on chillier days. The cottage is rustic, cosy, and full of charm — minimalist, lived-in, and far from pristine. Think more "shabby-chic" than show-home. It’s a real family home and we love it that way.

Outside, there`s a large garden with a trampoline, fire pit, and BBQ — ideal for unwinding on warm evenings or letting the kids burn off energy. Pets and children are very welcome here — it’s a space that’s been enjoyed by both!
