Lovely cottage in Staverton with beautiful garden.

3 bedroom cottage with charming cabin in the garden, currently one bedroom in the house used as a study. Can sleep 4-5 in the house and 2 in the garden cabin. Garden cabin is accessed via steep steps.

Large and well equipped kitchen/dining room and comfortable sitting room.

Garden is contained but not completely dog-secure. In the garden are hanging bars that are enjoyed by kids of all ages and a trampoline.

Cottage is close to the river Dart, with beautiful paddling and swimming spots nearby, and Staverton heritage steam train station. Fantastic walking in Dartington estate from the house, with the Green Table cafe and Barn cinema walking distance through the woods. Sea Trout Inn pub in Staverton village and Ben's Farm Shop (Riverford) very nearby. Also very nearby is Staverton playing field and playground.

We have hedgehogs visiting the garden every night that need feeding!

We also have two rabbits in a contained shed that if possible we would want visitors to feed but could potentially arrange for them to be housed elsewhere if needed.

About the location

This is a really fantastic area, we are 20 minutes from Dartmoor and about 25 minutes to the nearest beaches (Blackpool Sands, Bigbury and Bantham are all favourites). Totnes is less than 10 minutes away, with a mainline train station, excellent market and thriving independent shops. There are excellent cycle paths to Dartington and Totnes.

Ashburton, full of interesting independent shops and a lovely community run outdoor pool is also 10 minutes away and is a gateway to Dartmoor.

Riverford Field Kitchen is five minutes away and there are many places to eat locally - including for vegetarians and vegans - including the excellent Cott Inn (Dartington) and Bull Inn (Totnes).
