Oaker House

Oaker is a beautiful period property with access to the River Clun. It has 3 large reception rooms all with working fires and a modern farmhouse kitchen, it has an Aga but also a seperate conventional oven. There are 6 good sized bedrooms (2x King bed, 1x double, 1x twin, 1x single and 1x double + single) and 1 second floor bedroom with a sofa bed. 2 of the bedrooms share a Jack'n'Jill shower room, there is also a family bathroom with roll top bath, and a downstairs loo / shower if needed. There is a larger formal garden at the front of the house, and a terraced garden at the back leading down to the small orchard and river.
The River Clun is a protected river, but in the summer months benefits from shallow and slow flowing water which is perfect to cool off in!
There is the village pub walking distance through fields, and an independant supermarket 5 mins drive away in Craven Arms.
Oaker House is situated approx. 10 miles from the market town of Ludlow, and is within in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty nestled within the Shropshire Hills.

About the location

The Shropshire Hills are an AONB and there are many fantastic hiking and walking spots -some from the front door or the house so no need to get in the car!
The River Clun runs through the back of the garden and is one of seven protected rivers in the UK and especially clean water.
The market town of Ludlow is known for great eateries and benefits from a fantastic Farmshop / Cafe just outside the town.
There are many independent shops selling local produce as well as a picture house and Ludlow Castle.
There are a wealth of National Trust properties in the area that are always fantastic to visit.
Shrewsbury is a larger town which is approx. 40 mins drive from the property.
