Riverside cottage near the city - Best of both worlds!

Greetings to you, fellow ecological travellers!

My place is a very warm, cosy home with everything you need to relax and to explore. It is located near the Nicolet river, which you can access by taking brand new stairs that will lead you to the riverbank where a hammoc is installed. By the river, you will almost nothing of the neighbouring trafic. The river is shallow in some parts, but there is a swimmable spot right where the stairs finish.

If you visit in August, there will be plenty to pick in our huge gardens. We also have hens that will provide you with fresh eggs every morning. We have a Golden retriever and two cats who live with us inside, but we can manage to find someone to dog/catsit if you don`t want to have them with you.

The house is a beautiful place to rest with lots of books (French and English mostly, some Spanish) and a piano.

We would love to swap homes with another family. We are open to many destinations, exception made of the US. My daughter would love to see the ocean anywhere we can swim in it (we often go on camping vacations near the St-Lawrence but it`s not exactly warm!).

About the location

Victoriaville is a very nice city where you can find anything you need to buy, a wide variety of restaurants and a theater (both for plays/art and movies). It is half way to between Montreal (1h45 drive) and Quebec city (1h15 drive) where you can really enjoy everything our province has to offer, from music and movie festivals to beautiful mountain ranges. I have a nice tourism bike I can lend if that is something you`d like : the landscapes and roads are amazing to bike through.
