Guldrey Terrace
Welcome to our stone-built 4-bedroom family home on Guldrey Terrace, right in the heart of Sedbergh. Set on a quiet street with countryside views, it’s a comfortable and characterful base for families looking to spend time together in this beautiful part of the world.
The house has central heating throughout and plenty of space to relax, making it well suited to family stays, whether for a long weekend or a longer break.
The living room is cosy and welcoming, with comfortable seating and a wood burner — perfect for warming up after a day exploring the hills or settling in for a relaxed evening.
There’s a separate dining room where the family can gather for meals, games and long conversations around the table. The kitchen is well proportioned with good storage and everything needed for family cooking.
From the kitchen, step out into the private garden, where you’ll find direct views to Winder Fell in the Howgill Fells — a peaceful spot for morning coffee, outdoor meals or simply enjoying the changing light on the hills.
Upstairs you’ll find four bedrooms, giving families plenty of flexibility and space. Large windows bring in lots of natural light, and several rooms enjoy open countryside views.
For anyone needing to stay connected, the house has a fast gigabit internet connection, making it easy to work remotely, stream films or keep children entertained.
About the location
One of the things families love most is that the tennis courts are directly outside the front of the house, and there’s also a children’s play park within easy walking distance — perfect for burning off energy without needing to drive.
Everyday essentials are incredibly convenient too: the SPAR supermarket is less than a minute’s walk away, making it easy to pick up groceries, snacks or forgotten essentials.
Sedbergh is a friendly market town sitting between the Yorkshire Dales, the Howgill Fells and the Lake District, offering outstanding opportunities for families who love the outdoors.
The Howgill Fells can be accessed directly from town, with quieter walks, rolling ridgelines and panoramic views that are ideal for introducing children to hill walking. The Yorkshire Dales offer rivers, waterfalls, caves, cycling routes and charming villages, while the Lake District National Park, a short drive away, opens up swimming spots, boat trips, beaches, mountain walks and family-friendly attractions around the lakes.
Everything in Sedbergh is within easy walking distance. Independent shops, cafes and bakeries are close by, and The Black Bull pub, just a short stroll away, holds Two AA Red Rosettes and is a favourite local spot for excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Despite its peaceful setting, Sedbergh is well connected. Oxenholme Lake District station is around 20 minutes away, with direct trains taking just over an hour to Manchester and just over two hours to London and Edinburgh, making travel straightforward.
