Hill Cottage

The house has 3 bedrooms, one with king size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, a twin room, one smaller room to sleep 2, and a family bathroom, with bath and shower. The kitchen has an Aga, not on in summer, and an additional electric cooker, a kitchen table and 4 chairs. There is a washing machine and airer, bur no dryer or dishwasher. The living room has a woodburner and lovely views over the Welsh Borders. There is a dining room to seat 6 and a conservatory.

About the location

Our 26 acre smallholding at 400m comprises wildflower meadows, pasture and heathland. Our land is adjacent to the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve. There are many interesting walks locally, maps will be available to sitters. The Bog Centre close by provides tea, cakes, crafts and local historical and geological information regarding mining in the local area in the 19th century. There is a very useful shop and pub in Stiperstones village, about 2 miles away, and shops and a post office in Minsterley and Pontesbury, within 5 miles. A car is essential, although there are buses to Shrewsbury from Stiperstones. We live 12 miles away from the medieval town of Shrewsbury, with a theatre, cinema, market, castle and museum.
