Detached home in quiet village on edge of Scottish Highlands

Large detached home, ideal for families. Large garden, with plenty of space to sit and relax, or play games or jump on the trampoline. We have a greenhouse and some herbs, vegetables, fruit trees and bushes, which you are welcome to help yourself to, in return for some watering! Large well equiped kitchen, utility room, and double garage and driveway. 1 double bedroom, two large single bedrooms, one with bunk beds. A final room is used as a study but has a sofa bed in it. The large double also has an ensuite shower room. We have one pet - our beautiful cat Charlie, 4 years old. He is very easy going and easy to look after.

About the location

There are a huge diversity of walks, lochs, hills, quaint villages, family attractions, fishing, kayaking, cycling, paddleboarding nearby. We are also within easy reach of the cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling.

You are welcome to take our kayaks and wetsuits and visit one of the many lochs a short distance away. Our nearest loch is Lake of Menteith (officially the only `Lake` in Scotland - the rest are all `Lochs`!). It is only 15 minutes away and has a boat that takes you to an island with a historic monastery on it. The lake itself is stocked with trout and there is a fishery.

Loch Lomond is only 30 minutes away, there are a number of boat trips you can take to the various islands. Other lochs within 30 minutes include: Loch Ard, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Katrine. For hillwalkers, you are really spoilt for choice. There are a number of Munros, and smaller hills, within a short distance.

The ancient capital of Scotland, Stirling, with its castle and hills and cultural attractions is just 15-20 minutes away. There is also a train station in Stirling.

If you want to travel further afield - Glasgow is 40 minutes drive, Edinburgh is 1.5 hours drive, Perth 1 hour, the West Coast 1.5 hours away, Loch Ness 3 hours and Isle of Skye 4 hours.
