This little bungalow has been rebuilt and renovated into a spacious, modern, scandi style home.

We bought our home on the strength of the large garden for the area. We keep chickens, and want to keep bees too. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, two living rooms plus an open plan kitchen/diner.

Our home is a modern, spacious contemporary space with a large kitchen diner where we spend a lot of our time. We have a dedicated tv room which is really cool in the summer days and warm in the winter. There is a lounge for reading (lots of spiritual books and personal growth) drumming, music or sitting by the log fire. This room can easily be turned into a bedroom if a downstairs bedroom is required.

There are 2 bedroom upstairs and a lovely shower room. And a further bathroom downstairs.

The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the range pots, pans and utensils. We cook a lot and have everything you will need.

Our home is allergy free with wooden floors throughout, tiles in bathrooms and kitchen. We would ask that you don’t use perfumed products or dryer sheets when washing clothes. There are Shutters and blinds rather than curtains and minimal soft furnishings to keep dust low.

We are both health conscious, grow and cook a lot of our own food, eggs from the chickens. The garden is stocked with herbs for cooking or herbal teas.

We have for your use an EV charger, a fire pit, an oooni pizza oven, bbq, berkey water filter, lots of cookery books.

We are dog friendly but please do not allow dogs on the furniture or upstairs. This is to limit animal allergies which cause asthma. We have made our home as allergy free as possible. Yes ! I am allergic to my dog but hey-ho ! I wouldn’t live without him.

Although it is very spacious and can accommodate a large family we would prefer to swap with 2 adults.

About the location

Eastbourne is a lovely seaside town surrounded by open countryside with lovely little English villages.

Our home is near the hospital on the outskirts of town but an easy mostly downhill, 25 mins walk to bars, restaurants and shopping. £10 cab ride back from town.

From Eastbourne, it is an easy stroll to the beach and the downs for hiking or taking in the scenery. Eastbourne has galleries, cinemas, lawn tennis, and several parks. There is a lovely marina with bars and restaurants. Our favourite pizza place is there and you can sit on the deck with a view of the water and the boats.

Beachy Head is a 10 min drive away as well 10 mins drive to walks on the downs in the opposite direction.

A 15 min walk through the park takes you to our local train station with regular trains to Hastings and Saint Leonards (25 mins), Brighton (35 mins) and London Victoria (90 mins).

This is a lovely quiet area with respectful neighbours and safe enough to leave our doors open. Parking is easy on the road and we have a 2 car driveway. There are tennis courts nearby as well as five aside football, rugby. The park has a lovely lake with ducks, swans and wildlife and there are little waterfalls and streams. It has a cafe and is a great place for a picnic.

The Ferry for France is at Newhaven which is an easy 30 mins drive. You could do a day trip to Dieppe easily.

We even have our own vineyard (The Rathfinny) in East Sussex which does amazing wines, only a short drive away.

We have family nearby if you need help with anything.
