Cottage by the sea

My home is in Killiney right beside Killiney Hill Park. It has great views of the sea and Killiney Hill. It is an old estate cottage that I have restored and extended and it now has an `A` rating so it is warm all the time. It is on 2 levels with the living area at the lower level to the rear. The main bedroom is at the upper level with views of Killiney bay and the second bedroom at the entry level doubles as a study. There are 2 ensuites with showers.

The kitchen is small but well equipped with fridge/freezer, 2 dishwashers and an oven that has a microwave, crisper and steamer built in. There is a terrace to the rear where there are lots of trees and birds and you don`t feel you are near a city.

About the location

I live beside Killiney Hill Park that has 80 Hectares of woodland and views over Dublin City and Killiney Bay. There is a pub across the road that also serves food. The park cafe is a very good coffee and samdwich place that is 5 minutes walk form the house. There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the house that goes to Dalkey Village which has a good supermarket, many shops and very good restaurants and pubs. YOu can walk to the village directly in about 25 minutes or take the scenic route along the coastal Vico Road which takes 45 minutes. There are 2 good beaches within a 20 minute walk of the house. The dart from Killiney or Dalkey station will take you along the coast to Dublin City centre in 30 minutes.
