Good cycling and walking all around the area with long distance path to the Downs just to the South of us. The historic town of Lewes, 7 miles away, has a castle, good shops (especially antiques) and hourly trains to London (journey time just over 1 hour). Brighton is about 15 miles and features the Pavilion, seafront, pier and lively nightlife. Hastings and Battle are about 3/4 hour away; Beachy Head and Newhaven port are close by (France 4 hours by ferry).

We have a 7 seater Mercedes Estate which copes with all the family's needs.
